The mission of the Queen’s College of Guyana Alumni Association of the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area is to provide financial and other forms of assistance to Queen's College, its students, staff and alumni in order to maintain the ability of Queen’s College to contribute to academic excellence in Guyana.

Membership
Membership in the Association is open to former students and former members of the academic staff of Queen's College, living in the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia metro area. Membership is subject to and effected on the payment of an annual subscription fee.
History
The Queen's College of Guyana Alumni Association of the Washington DC, Metropolitan Area is a non-governmental, not for profit, charitable body, comprising of alumni of Queen’s College, Guyana living in the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia metro area (DMV).
The Association, exempt from federal taxes under Section 501(C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, was started back in 1983 and was active until 2000. The association was revived in 2021 and formally adopted its current constitution at a General Meeting held in August, 2021.
